About Our Greenbelt
We own and maintain the greenbelt along Lemay and some small strips around the walk-through sidewalks at the end of each cul-de-sac. We pay a landscaping company to mow the grass, trim the bushes, and plow the snow on the walk-through sidewalks. (The city plows the sidewalk along Lemay.) Your volunteer board members manage and maintain the sprinkler system because we have found that we can do a much better job for much less money.

Our water utility bill is our second biggest annual expense. (The landscaper contract is our annual expense.) The city allocates us a certain amount of water each year, and for any water exceeding that amount, the price is exorbitant. Therefore, we track our water usage very closely.
